They call me Farce Withers - I am an explorer who navigates through human dreams and desires. Travel with me as I try and navigate toward the origin of a single thought.

We often joke about Tom, his obese frame bouncing about inside our memories of a time filled with both stress and excitement. Seven minutes, ten bucks became the motto for our retrospective humiliation of his bungling form, a character whose idiocy is rivaled only by the great fools of literature. It is just recently, after years of contemplating "Your Way", that I began to understand that his utterance of those words, out of a mouth both obscene and childish, was completely contrary to what it would take to convince Farce Withers to join that odd group of students on their lunch. In fact, it wasn't the brief length of time that would change your mind. His cowardly approach to life would only keep you in your studio chair as you generated from your womb the great works of Architecture. Perhaps if he were to approach the outing as it really was, presenting a one or two hour leisurely break from the hard discipline you were to craft, then, and only then, might you have relinquished your chair for the comraderie he so childishly proposed. It was the slow pace that you were after, not the vulgar inhalation of food and drink, quick and obscene conversation fulfilling the ritual of normalcy he was so adept at adhering to. Some day, we may return to New York, if only for one night, and complete our walk on Broadway, the walk of kings, the walk of the Horsemen, the walk of men.
